Motorola Quench XT5 Android Smartphone

Another Android smartphone from Motorola has just been announced in Taiwan. Known as the Quench XT5, the handset sports a 3.2-inch 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 256MB RAM, a 512MB onboard memory, a microSD card slot, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and runs on Android 2.1 OS. The Motorola Quench XT5 will retail for around $400.

Rogers’ Samsung Captivate Galaxy S

Folks in Canada will be able to purchase the Samsung Captivate via Rogers. The Canadian network carrier has already started taking pre-order for this highly anticipated Android smartphone. The Rogers’ Captivate comes jam packed with an Android 2.1 OS, a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, Wi-Fi, GPS, HSPA, a 5MP AutoFocus camera, an HD video recording capability, a 1GHz processor, and a 16GB of internal memory. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this time.

Acer Liquid Metal Android Smartphone

Acer has recently unveiled some photos and technical data about their latest Android-powered smartphone. Dubbed as the Acer Liquid Metal, this upcoming handset features the Android 2.2 Froyo with Acer Shell 4.0, a 800Mhz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 CPU a Adreno 205 GPU with Flash and SVG hardware acceleration, a 512MB DDR RAM, a 512MB ROM, a 3.61-inch WVGA TFT-LCD (800 x 480) capacitive multi-touch screen, a camera with flash and Bluetooth 3.0. The GPU is faster than Apple’s iPhone 4, but slower than the Samsung Galaxy S.

You gotta love this camera phone! Samsung proudly informed the first cell phone with a 10MP camera in the world. It has an auto focus, a 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, and Bluetooth for direct printing. Available for the Korean market, this camera phone also comes with a DMB TV tuner and supports white balance, manual focus, continuous picture-taking, and interval picture-taking functions. The pricetag of B600 is around 900,000 won or about US$900 in Korea.
